Inward Light II emerges from a state of turning inward .. a moment when the outside world recedes and attention moves towards what is usually kept beneath the surface.

The barely open eyes remain somewhere between seeing and retreating, as though the face is present and absent at once.
The work holds the instinct to protect what is fragile without allowing it to disappear. Its silence is not emptiness, but a private space in which memory, vulnerability and things that cannot yet be spoken are allowed to remain.
