Tides of Imagination moves through a space between memory and dream, where the outer world begins to dissolve and something more elusive takes its place. Sea, wind, shadow and fragments of landscape drift into one another, forming a world that feels both familiar and impossible to locate.
The surface is built through seven individually coloured layers of the artist’s own modelling-paste mixture. Each layer carries traces of what came before, so earlier forms remain partially present beneath later ones - emerging, disappearing and returning transformed, like memories surfacing in meditation or images carried through sleep.
The work follows the movement of thought when it is no longer fixed to a single image or moment. It becomes a threshold between what is seen and what is felt, between memory and imagination - a fluid inner world gathering into colour, movement, material and form.
