Losing Oneself examines the gradual erosion of identity under the pressure of imposed roles, expectations and repeated acts of self-concealment. The face appears not as a stable portrait, but as something being worn away - caught between presence and disappearance. The weathered, textured surface suggests the slow accumulation of experience, while the mesh covering the eyes becomes both barrier and filter, separating inner perception from the gaze of the outside world.
The work asks what remains when the identities we perform begin to replace the self beneath them.
